Our Story

The Clubhouse senior team are a tight knit family who have owned and operated restaurants for over thirty years. The executive chef trained in preparing and cooking traditional French cuisine before opening Le Bistro Restaurant & Bar in nearby Wendover in 1984. After gaining a reputation as one of the foremost eateries in the geography, Le Bistro hosted celebrities and sports stars over the years however the core of the Restaurant was it’s loyal following of local families. Le Bistro saw children grow up from pre-school age to celebrating 18th birthday parties (employing some of them too!).

The opportunity to partner with Halton Tennis Centre came about quite organically having attended the Tennis Centre for some years, with the next generation joining the fantastic Everyball squads, it was clear the Tennis Centre although being a centre of excellence also maintained a huge sense of community which closely aligned with the views of the family.

This alignment led to discussions of how the family could provide a food and beverage offer to the Tennis Centre which matched the quality and ethos of the tennis itself. A partnership emerged through the challenges of Coronavirus and multiple national lockdowns with both the Tennis Centre and The Clubhouse team working flexibly to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for Club members and non-members alike.
